Hong Kong style Roasted Duck - 15 Fade Street, Dublin 2

Siu mei (Chinese: 燒味; Cantonese Yale: sīuméi) is the generic name in Cantonese cuisine given to meats roasted on spits over an open fire or a huge wood burning rotisserie oven. It creates a unique, deep barbecue flavor and the roast is usually coated with a flavorful sauce (a different sauce is used for each variety of meat) before roasting. Siu mei is very popular in Hong Kong and Macau.

Duck is a Hong Kong style BBQ meat deli. At Duck they are passionate about bringing the authentic flavours of Hong Kong style roasted meats to Dublin. These wonderfully succulent and delicious tasting meats are a staple of Hong Kong cuisine.

What makes these meats so unique is their method of cooking in a traditional "Bullet oven". The "Bullet Oven", so called because of its characteristic torpedo shape, circulates heat around the meat which is hung upright inside the oven. The result is a meat that is tasty, succulent and encased in a delicious shining skin. Duck, Pork and Chicken are all cooked in this way and are prepared with their specially crafted spices and sauces.
